Since early March, Gapa Music School has been proactively taking steps to promote the safety of all our students, teachers, members and participants, We proactively moved to online instruction and other virtual platforms for all our classes, events and activities.
The curriculum will be designed as a student’s educational journey of music, over six years: Years 1 & 2: Primary | Years 3 & 4: Core | Years 5 & 6: Advanced These are broad time frames and lateral entry will be permitted on a case-by-case basis after a careful evaluation of prior musical learning, and musical abilities.
The curriculum will be based on a traditional repertoire and musical styles with an emphasis on strong fundamentals coupled with application of those fundamentals to musical presentation in an aesthetic and creative manner.
Students will be encouraged to seek a deeper understanding of the “why” behind traditional practices of the art form. Theoretical aspects and technical nuances will be presented in an accessible and lucid manner with pertinent illustrations, anecdotes and insights.

Our Schedule is in its early stages. Classes are currently being held on Monday to Friday evenings at 6 PM as well as weekends. As student needs grow, we plan to add additional classes and times. Parents are encouraged to discuss scheduling requirements with us. We welcome suggestions.
In addition, we will also be adding the other class offerings and workshops to our schedule and these may all be seen in the calendar shown alongside and will be updated once a week as needed.
All workshops, classes, as well as GAPA Performances, will be shown in this Calendar.
